The Simple funeral plan provides the essential items for a burial, including the removal, care and facility to view the deceased. Family and friends can attend the burial but there is no service. This plan is for burial only. Should you require a cremation then you must choose the Repatriation plan, as Cyprus has no crematorium.

The Golden Leaves Traditional Funeral Plan provides a comprehensive funeral service with a burial in Cyprus. Should you require a cremation then you must choose the Repatriation plan, as Cyprus has no crematorium. The Traditional Plan can give you a funeral similar in content to what you would expect in the UK, with the removal, care and facility to view the deceased. This plan also allows five days for family participation, making it a more suitable option for families and friends to attend from a different country.

This plan includes an allowance of up to £1000 toward costs of repatriating the deceased by air. If a UK funeral service is required, this plan also includes a contribution of up to £2000 toward costs. These may include:

Use of a Chapel of Rest
Wood veneer coffin
Hearse on the day of the funeral plus a conductor and bearers
Cremation or burial costs

If the cost of these is more than £2000 (or the cost of repatriation by air is more than £1000) then there may be additional expenses that will need to be paid by the estate or next-of-kin of the deceased.

In addition, if the plan is paid for in 12 or 18 instalments, you can also cancel within the first 12 months and receive a refund of all amounts paid to the date of cancellation. If you cancel your plan after 12 months, you will get back all amounts paid to the date when you cancel but you will be charged a fee of €374 / £325

In addition, if you pay for your plan by instalments over 12 - 120 months you also have extended cancellation rights. For this payment option you can cancel any time within 12 months of taking out your plan and get all your money back. If you cancel after the first 12 months, you will receive a refund. However, we will retain an administration charge of €374 / £325, additionally for repayment periods longer than 18 months we will also retain 50% of the Instalment Payment Fees due up to the date of cancellation.

In addition, if you cancel after this point, Golden Leaves will refund Funeral Safe Limited the full plan value minus our cancellation fee of £299.
