I made a phone call to Golden Leaves on the Wednesday afternoon, as my wife was seriously ill and I needed to be prepared.

My wife had just turned 59 years old and we had been thinking about a plan for both of us, but we put it on hold as we were selling our property. Once I had made the call, a very helpful agent came to visit and explained everything to me before we administrated a plan for my wife. The payment was taken immediately by phone to Head Office in Alicante within minutes and my wife was covered. On Thursday Morning at 11.45, I made a phone call to Kim (the GL agent) to say that my wife had taken a turn for the worse and had sadly passed away, Kim made the phone call to Golden Leaves 24 hour emergency helpline on my behalf, as I was in a state and needed help. The company prepared everything with the Funeral Director Louisa in Mojacar, who was fabulous throughout, Kim went above and beyond and even took me to the hospital, which meant so much to me especially as I don´t have any family out here.

At the Hospital, They guided me through everything, as we waited for about an hour for the Funeral Director to arrive who was travelling from Mojacar to Almeria. Once they arrived, I signed the papers for my wife to be taken to the Chapel of Rest in Mojacar.

The following day, I went to the Chapel of Rest and Kim accompanied me. She helped me arrange the funeral and was such a massive help. The funeral took place on the Monday as my wife had wanted and I would like to thank Golden Leaves and Louisa for their very professional help and advice throughout and their Compassion was outstanding.
